Mailing Templates

Email marketing is an essential tool for communicating with your users. It’s a great way to drive traffic to your digital editions, remind users of their subscription status, onboard new users and identify segments of your audience for specialized campaigns.

There are 3 options for your Mailing Templates:

  1. Choose from one of the 3 sets of Mailing Templates below. Each set will offer 3 of the most popular mailing types: new document, instant delivery and renewal templates. These sets will provide your collection with consistent branding, design, and messaging and can be customized to suit your needs.
    • GTxcel handles the initial creation
    • GTxcel handles updates of any featured articles for each new deployment
    • GTxcel handles any templates changes (this will incur a fee if changes are made after the initial template has been created and approved)
    • NOTE: You do not need to use all 3 templates within a set.
  2. GTxcel creates a Custom Mailing Template (this will incur a fee – ask your Customer Success Manager for a quote)
    • GTxcel handles the initial creation
    • GTxcel handles updates of any featured articles for each new deployment
    • GTxcel handles any templates changes (this will incur a fee if changes are made after the initial template has been created and approved)
  3. Create your own Custom Mailing Template using the GTxcel variables
    • Publisher handles the initial creation
    • Publisher is responsible for any template changes
    • Publisher uploads a new template for each deployment

Creating your own Custom Email Template

If you choose to create ready-to-send html, please make sure to include the following in your message:

  • Opt-out (unsubscribe to emails) instructions*
    • GTxcel can provide a link and manage opt-outs through Omail.
    • Client can provide a link and manage opt-outs through their own systems. If this is done the publisher can choose to provide a “access only” subscriber list via the Publisher Dashboard, for only those who have opted-out of the mailings so GTxcel can grant them access without triggering an email message. Please include instructions on the lists during the upload process.
  • A URL link to the magazine that can be copied/pasted if hyperlinks aren’t working
  • You will need to host any images used in the html message.
