Digging Deeper in Mixpanel Data

Most of your day-to-day analytics reporting needs should be a few clicks away in the GTxcel Publisher Dashboard.  It may be necessary to navigate to the Mixpanel reporting interface to access certain metrics.  Click the Dig Deeper at Mixpanel button in the top-right corner to access the Mixpanel Reporting UI.

Instructions for accessing data

There’s a lot to learn about reporting in the Mixpanel UI.  They have some great training resources if you are interested in learning all about it.

Below, you can find instructions for accessing some specific metrics.

App Opened – Unique App Opens

  1. Click on Segmentation on the left-hand menu
  2. Set Event dropdown to app opened
  3. Click Show button at the right
  4. Select Unique from the dropdown under the Show button on the right
  5. next to Unique, select the … tab and choose the bar chart for easy viewing
  6. Set your date range
  7. Hover over the bar to reveal the numeric value

The date range will cap out at 60 days. Currently there is no way to increase this range when segmenting on this metric.

  2. Set Event dropdown to app opened
  3. Select App Platform for the By field.
  4. Click Show button at the right
  5. Select Unique from the dropdown under the Show button on the right
  6. Next to Unique, select the … tab and choose the bar graph for easy viewing
  7. Set your date range
  8. Hover over each bar to reveal the numeric value

The date range will cap out at 60 days. Currently there is no way to increase this range when segmenting on this metric.
