If you have an existing app with another provider, that utilizes e-commerce/in app purchase, GTxcel can assist in making this transfer. In order to ‘replace’ your existing app with a GTxcel app, as well as transfer over your subscribers, a few things need to happen…
For Apple:
- App must be hosted on your company’s own developer license
- We will build your new app using the existing bundle ID (unique identifier for apps)
- We will use your existing product IDs (unique identifiers for subscription & single issue products) created by the previous provider
For Google (Android):
- App must be hosted on your company’s own developer account
- We will build your new app using the existing Package Name (unique identifier for apps)
- We will use your existing product IDs (unique identifiers for subscription & single issue products) created by the previous provider
- You may need to retrieve the old app’s ‘KEYSTORE’ file from the previous vendor
For Amazon (Kindle Fire):
- App must be hosted on your company’s own developer account
- We will build your new app using the existing Package Name (unique identifier for apps)
- We will use your existing product IDs (unique identifiers for subscription & single issue products) created by the previous provider
- You may need to retrieve the old app’s ‘KEYSTORE’ file from the previous vendor
Utilizing the existing Bundle IDs & Package Names, allows GTxcel to replace your existing app, so the new app appears as just a routine update to your existing users. Utilizing the existing Product IDs for the subscriptions and/or single issue sales, allows us to transfer over your subscribers subscription & single issue purchases.
*Important Note: Users MAY lose access to back issues they had with the other app, IF you do not send these issues to GTxcel for conversion.

If your app is FREE & OPEN and does not utilize in app purchase, GTxcel can still transfer your app. This transition is simplified, because it is not necessary to transfer in-app purchase product IDs.
